New Design

Localnode introduces a new design.

Localnode has had a much-needed redesign. We had our old design since opening over 5 years ago. So we decided it was time to commission a new one. The new design is fully responsive – which means you can now view our website on mobile phones and tablets – one of the many features of bootstrap. We’ve decided to go with the current trends, which seems to be “flat.” According to Wikipedia (I’m no expert on web design, but I can appreciate it) flat is basically a minimalist design without any stylistic elements that give the illusion of three dimensions.

Well, our old design was HTML, it had some drop shadows and all that jazz. However, it quickly grew old. I’d been putting off getting a new design for some time. It didn’t age well. But enough of that.

We’ve kept our original logo – mark and type. We’ve just recoloured it to white.

Updates to our privacy policy

We’ve updated our privacy policy to give better wording on what information we collect, and how we use it. We’ve specifically worded it so that it doesn’t confuse anyone. I found the old one to be a bit confusing. It specifically says we do not rent, sell or give your information out to any third parties. We’ll also never disclose your information unless ordered by a court to do so.

FAQ Section

We’ve also got a frequently asked questions page where our most frequently asked questions go – along with the answers.

Contact Page

We removed the contact form on our old website due to the fact we got so much SPAM. We’ve re-introduced a contact page with Captcha to help reduce that.

That’s all for now!
